Troubleshooting
The first release of the Cloaked browser extension supports Google Chrome. Support for other browsers is coming soon.
Cloaked does not appear in the wallet list
- Confirm that the Cloaked extension is installed and enabled in Chrome.
- Reload the app page if you installed or enabled the extension while the page was already open.
- Look under More wallets, Browser wallet, or a similar option in the app.
- Confirm that the app supports Ethereum browser wallets.
Some apps remember the wallets detected when the page first loads, so reloading is important.
The connection or review window does not open
Cloaked opens a separate window for connections and sensitive approvals. If no window appears:
- Check whether it opened behind another window.
- Allow pop-ups for the app and try the action again.
- Close and reopen Cloaked from the Chrome toolbar.
- Reload the app page and retry the request.
Do not approve a request if the window identifies a different app or action from the one you started.
The app shows the wrong address or network
Disconnect Cloaked from the app, reload the page, and connect again with the intended address.
If the app requests a network where the address is not ready, Cloaked may ask you to activate the address or choose whether to move funds. Review the network and any fee before continuing.
The toolbar or side panel looks out of date
Close and reopen the extension surface, then reload the current app page. Chrome installs extension updates automatically, but restarting Chrome can help it finish applying an available update.
A request is unsupported
Apps can send many kinds of wallet requests. If Cloaked cannot safely interpret or complete one, it rejects the request instead of signing it. Do not work around an unsupported request by copying unknown signing data into another wallet.
